Some of the great things Stone Soup provides in your community include:

• Stone Soup Fridays - On the second Friday night of each month form 6:30 - 10:00 we provide and evening of respite for families. Parents may bring their child with special needs and their siblings for a fun-filled night of crafts, games, skits, music, and so much more. • Common Grounds - On Stone Soup Fridays, 8:00 - 10:00pm, Common Grounds is a coffee house that becomes a gathering place for families and other adults who share a common interest in building a supportive community for families with members with special needs. You will find rich coffee, delightful desserts, and sweet friendships among people who know and care about the things you are dealing with in your lives. You can come with your spouse and sit at a quiet table and talk. You might meet up with other parents. You might want to come alone for some quiet time and read and relax. What you will definitely find is a peaceful atmosphere where you can relax while your kids are having a great time. No reservation needed.

• Stone Soup Camp - Stone Soup Camp is for those individuals age 4 to 34 who have special needs and their siblings. This will be June 22-26, 2015. You can expect a great time for your campers. There are some partial and some full scholarships available. There will be a full nursing staff, along with behavior specialists and social skills groups. • "The Family with Special Needs" parenting series. These are one month modules on the things that parents of children with special needs deal with regularly. Modules include topics such as, marriage, behavior management, writing social stories, the IEP process, sensory issues, alternate therapies, and more. This is a great time to meet other families and have meaningful discussion about topics that matter to you. Classes meet on Wednesday nights at 7:00 and childcare is provided at Faith Baptist Church.

• Stone Soup Sundays - On Sundays Stone Soup supports the Sunday School and Worship Services at Faith Baptist Church. Children are integrated into the typical classes with the level of support requires for them to succeed. This may be a friend their own age, a trained volunteer shadow, or an array of other options. Careful attention is paid to sensory challenges your child might face that can make inclusion difficult. When snacks are provided, gluten free, sugar free and other options are available.
